In partnership with the End Dependence Kansas initiative, JVS strives to create meaningful career paths and catalyze an inclusive and vibrant workforce for people of all abilities. Through this partnership, JVS serves adults and young adults with disabilities and limited work experience in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties in Kansas.
“JVS was extremely helpful and informative when helping me find a job. Having a job means I feel like I have a life again and I’m happy about life.”
End Dependence Kansas
A state-wide initiative to increase employment for Kansans with disabilities, End Dependence Kansas seeks to improve the quantity and quality of employment placements, by supporting community partners in creating competitive, integrated jobs in the community.
This collaborative service is implemented by the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF), Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC), Kansas Department of Commerce, and Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
